Our care tips

Even if you buy the most durable clothes in the world, they won't last very long if you don't wash them properly.

Here are our tips for washing well without ruining everything.

First, wash less

Washing wears things out. The friction, the hot water, the detergent, the fabric softener, the spin cycle — that's a lot of stress for your clothes, far more than when you wear them (unless your job involves crawling over broken glass). After every wash, your clothes inevitably come out a little more worn.

So our main piece of advice is to wash less. For example, the clothes that don't come into contact with sweaty areas (sweaters, sweatshirts, overshirts, jeans, etc.) don't need to be washed very often: between two wears, air them out (by hanging them on hangers or over the backs of chairs) — most of the time, that will be enough to remove any smells. There's also no need to run a wash with the Loom clothes you've just bought: they've already been pre-washed in our factories.

Then, follow our tips

Just after receiving your order, we'll send you an email with our care tips. And if you're ever unsure, they're also displayed on our website and (partly) on the label of our clothing.

By the way

If you need to stock up, we offer care products and a few spare parts. The idea isn't to line our own pockets but to encourage you to take care of your clothes, repair them and keep them as long as possible.
