Made to last.
Not to follow the latest trend.
To make clothes you'll keep for a long time, here's how we go about it.
Finding the flaws
First, we identify all the weak points that usually end up making you throw a garment away. Pilling, shrinking, stretching out of shape, fading… We try not to forget anything.
Work in progress
We then work with our factories to solve these problems. Often, what matters most is what you can't see: fibre length, spinning methods, dyeing recipes... For each weak point, we try to find a solution and work our way through prototype after prototype.
Test, then test again
We then test the durability of these prototypes in independent labs... and by wearing them a lot ourselves. We compare them with other garments on the market, and until we're satisfied with the result, we keep working.
Listening to you
Instead of putting our energy into hunting for a brand-new design, we prefer to rework our product so that each “generation” is better than the last. That's why we regularly ask the people who wear them what we could improve in our clothes.
Built to last, but not forever
Designing an indestructible garment isn't all that complicated: you just make it 100% polyester. But since that's neither very pleasant to wear nor very eco-friendly, we try to use as little synthetic material as possible.
So even though they're hard-wearing, our clothes won't last forever. Natural materials will wear out over time, with each wear and wash. So if you want them to last a really long time, you have to take care of them. And that's something you can learn.
